Timeline and invoicing
Lead times
Lead times run from kickoff, not from the date of your purchase order.
| Tier | New design | Reorder |
|---|---|---|
| Dev | 4 weeks | 3 weeks |
| Dev Pro | 4 weeks | 3 weeks |
| Production | 8 weeks | 6 weeks |
- Auto TPCB and bare receptacle orders ship in the same lead time.
- Consigned TPCB adds about 1 week, for example 5 weeks for Dev Pro and 9 weeks for Production.
- Production lead times are driven by sourced base equipment. Dev and Dev Pro fixtures are made in-house, which keeps them short. See Fixture tiers.
When kickoff happens
Kickoff is at the start of the business week after your order is purchased. On an expedited order, kickoff is the next business day. Your kickoff email confirms the date and the target ship date.
Expedite
Choose Expedited on the Details step in Studio to shorten the schedule.
- The fastest expedited schedule is 2 weeks from kickoff, for any tier.
- Dev and Dev Pro orders can always be expedited.
- Production orders can be expedited only when the materials are in stock or already on order.
- A new Auto TPCB or Consigned TPCB adds time to an expedited schedule.
- The expedite fee is 50% of the order total, invoiced at kickoff.
How your ship date is set
Your schedule is built forward from kickoff, day zero (T0). Each phase takes a set amount of time. Between phases sit your reviews, and each one is a gate: the next phase starts when you approve, not before.
- The ship date in your kickoff email assumes each review comes back within 1 business day of when we send it.
- If a review takes longer, the next phase starts later, and every date after it, including the ship date, moves by the same amount.
- If you request changes, we revise and send the review again. The next phase waits until the revised version is approved.
- Inputs we need to start a phase, such as the pin-mapping worksheet, feedthrough requirements and answers to our questions, gate the schedule the same way.
A change to the scope of the order works differently: we pause the clock while we work out the impact. See Changes and revisions.
