Manufacturing

After you approve the design, we build the fixture. Dev and Dev Pro fixtures are made in-house from raw materials. Production fixtures are built on sourced bases, which is why their lead time is longer.

Fabrication

Fabrication takes 1 business day. We machine and cut the cartridge plates and fixture parts, and receive the probes, receptacles and other purchased parts. Long-lead parts ordered after the Fixture Configuration Review, and your TPCB if your order has one, are already in hand: we order an Auto TPCB, and a Consigned TPCB arrives from you. See TPCB procurement.

Assembly

Assembly time depends on the fixture: 1 business day for the cartridge, plus 1 business day for the base when the order has a feedthrough plate or accessories. We install the probes and receptacles, wire and label the interface, mount the TPCB or feedthrough plate, and assemble the cartridge and fixture. Each fixture gets a serial number.

Your part

There's nothing for you to approve in manufacturing. If we find a question while building, such as a part that has changed or a clearance that is tighter than modeled, we ask you on the order page. Answers are due within 1 business day.

What happens next

When assembly is complete, the fixture moves to QA.
