Pressure Pins
Pressure pins are used to apply force to the top of the DUT, pressing it against the test probes in the fixture.
These are commonly made out of Acetal (Delrin) or POM (Polyoxymethylene).
They vary in tip diameter and length. For our commonly fixture bases, we use the following lengths:
- 35mm
- Dev Pro and Dev Pro XL
- 45mm
- Dev and Dev XL
- 65mm
- Ingun Cartridges and Fixtures
For Ingun test fixtures, we countersink the top of the pressure pin into the pressure plate by 3.2mm for a 1.6mm thick PCB. The countersink is 7mm in diameter, to accomodate the common 6mm diameter pressure pins.
